Aimée Matthews - Partner

Aimée co-founded Kippen Ash with Hannah, a fellow planner she'd already worked alongside for years, bringing together well over 40 years of combined planning experience under one roof. She is a qualified planner with an MSc in Spatial Planning. Her own career spans both local authority and private practice, giving her a rounded view of how planning decisions get made on both sides of the table.

She's built her reputation on strong relationships — with clients, councils, and the wider network of specialists needed to get a project over the line. Over the years she's negotiated countless S106 agreements, resolved planning breaches, and guided applicants through everything from outline permissions to full planning, always keeping communication clear and jargon-free.

At Kippen Ash, Aimée applies that same hands-on approach to agricultural, equestrian, and residential projects, taking the time to properly understand each client's plans so she can secure the best possible outcome for them.

We set up Kippen Ash to do planning the way we always thought it should be done: closely, honestly, and with genuine care for the outcome — whether that's a residential development, a stable block, a farm diversification scheme, a self-build, or a difficult appeal.
